Martin Gertler

MartyMarty has spent his business life leading the strategic, marketing and communications development of some of the world’s largest corporations. Following more than 20 years in advertising, public relations and integrated marketing communications, he launched The Gertler Group to bring to clients of every size and in every industry the breadth of experience that comes from some of the leading marketing companies in the world.

Earlier in his career, Marty spent nearly two decades at Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising in New York where he was SVP, Management Director and a member of the New York Operating Committee while leading businesses ranging from British Airways and Mexico Tourism, to Helene Curtis, Sara Lee and Nabisco. He moved to Gotham Incorporated as Director of Business Development, and later to the international public relations firm, The Rowland Company, as EVP/Managing Director of the Rowland Design Communications group, working with clients including DuPont, Johnson & Johnson, Canon and Mondavi. His experience runs the gamut from global pharmaceuticals to financial services, technology to toys, software solutions to automotive, and more.

Exercising his entrepreneurial spirit, in 2007 Marty saw the need to help companies know, connect and capture the Baby Boomer audience.  He established the BoomerGroup division of The Gertler Group and since then, his team has amassed a knowledge base about this cohort that few can come close to matching, and has identified a dozen trends that are reflective of Boomer behavior today and predictive of Boomer behavior over the next decade.

In 2011 he was part of the team that envisioned and developed FutuHR, the first mobile enterprise app targeted to the small/medium-size business community which was introduced in April, 2013.  FutuHR is currently available through channel partners and for individual corporate purchase via online marketplace downloads.

Marty has lectured domestically on college campuses, and spoken internationally on developing global identities. He is a member of the Boomer Authority, and the Advertising Educational Foundation, in addition to providing leadership on several not-for-profits.
